Happy thanksgiving, America

Canada already had theirs, right?



Thanksgiving facts:

-pulling all the crap out of the inside of a turkey feels downright lewd.
-football is boring. Sorry.
-I like cooking therefor I like this holiday


I was watching a cooking channel show about thanksgiving and they were talking to some southern guy about what southerners eat on thanksgiving. Where in the south was he from? WHO CARES EVERYONE KNOWS ALL THE SOUTH IS THE SAME.

And the guy was all talking like southerners don't eat turkeys we eat pork or whatever.

I mean

what?

Sometimes there is a ham involved on thanksgiving, but man. Maybe they ought to have said what state he was from.

I do not assume what people in Maine do is the same as what people in Michigan do, how about a little common courtesy?

Anyway, so I am cooking a huge meal, but it's running a little late, which sucks. I wanted everything to be ready by 2pm, but noooo. The turkey didn't finish thawing until like just now. I am a failure.

And this weekend I am leaving forever to go visit famblies up north (texas). So I'll be out in bumfuck Sanger (which is pretty much almost Oklahoma). So, I guess it's a good thing I have got such a headstart on the next page. I've been trying to work every day on pages at least 8 hours or so. Really helping! I'm sort of annoyed that I'm going to miss two days of work (three counting today).

But, also, I miss my folks. I haven't seen my parents in over half a year. Gonna go spend sunday with them.
